Flower Girls always seem to steal the show and these two were no exception at Karl & Jess’s wedding at Haycroft Farm Country Wedding Venue on Saturday 23rd September 2017. Gorgeous young girls with their cerise bougainvillea flower crowns made to measure.

When Jess asked me to do her bougainvillea floral decor and bridesmaids bouquets I knew it would be quite a challenge but one which I am now glad I accepted. It was thanks to the wonderful help and hard work of the bride’s aunt Sue and family, who sourced and picked boxes of cerise bougainvillea, that I was able make the bride’s dream become a reality. From a scorching 34C the temperature on the actual wedding day plummeted and the rain and mist came down. Last minute change from a forest ceremony to one in the beautiful chapel at Haycroft. Luckily the arch decor was arranged in oasis cages so could be used on the registry table and the bougainvillea flowers for aisle decor had been kept dry in boxes. Thank you Karl and Jess for sharing Page & Holmes photos with me and wishing you both much love and happiness in your future together.

A year ago I was happily creating Juli and Shane’s floral fantasy at Haycroft Farm Wedding Venue. So enjoyed working with this couple and their family and my reward is always when I hear that they “don’t just like it, they love it”. Congratulations on your first wedding anniversary on Sunday 29th October and may your future together always be filled with lots of love and happiness.

It was an honour and privilege to be asked to do the floral decor for Maureen’s Memorial Service at St Joseph’s, Cedara, on Friday 9th June 2017. The moving words on the cover of the leaflet summed up the essence of this great woman “Maureen felt deeply and loved fiercely. Her tears flowed as abundantly as did her laughter. She was both soft and powerful. She was both practical and spiritual. A brave woman who led a full life. Maureen in her essence was a gift to the world.” My deepest condolences to her three children Lloyd, Wendy and Troy and their families.
